We are seeking a Project Manager to support the overall functions of the Laboratory of Malaria Immunology and Vaccinology (LMIV), Molecular Pathogenesis and Biomarkers section., NIH: 

 

Note*: One year period of performance. This task order will not contain option years. 64 hours TOTAL.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as proteomics specialist to train staff on the operation of an Orbitrap Mass Spectrophotometer that the Molecular Pathogenesis and Biomarkers section owns.
  • Training includes but is not limited to basic maintenance, troubleshooting problems, basic repairs and working with the manufacturer’s service engineer to ensure proper operation.
  • Write specialized methods appliciable to the on-going research in the lab.
  • Train staff in use of software on hand for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Oversee trained staff to verify they are able to operate the Orbitrap Mass Spectrophotometer and attached liquid choromatography system

Qualifications

  • Work location: Bldg 29B, RM 4E14
  • Part-time: maximum of 64 hours
  • PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Proteomics or related field
  • Experience with Orbitrap™ Fusion™ Lumos™ Mass Spectrophotometer and control software
  • Three or more years of experience in proteomics research
  • Experience with proteomics pipeline (sample preparation, LC and MS operation, and data analysis).
  • Experience with MS data analysis software.
