    CAMRIS seeks International Development Consultants to support the upcoming USAID/Latin America and Caribbean (USAID/LAC) Environment Support Activity. This program requires expert technical and logistical support services to strengthen the design, management, and evaluation of regional and bilateral environment, resilience, and energy programs in the LAC region. 


    This program has two goals and six objectives:


    Goal 1: Conserve biodiversity in priority places.
    Goal 2: Integrate biodiversity as an essential component of human development.

           Objective 1: Support enabling conditions for biodiversity conservation.
           Objective 2: Reduce priority drivers and threats to biodiversity.
           Objective 3: Integrate conservation and development for improved biodiversity and development outcomes.
           Objective 4: Build partnerships to mobilize resources in support of biodiversity conservation.
           Objective 5: Influence key international policies in support of biodiversity conservation.
           Objective 6: Apply science, technology, and learning to enhance biodiversity conservation practice.


    *Residents of Barbados/Eastern Caribbean, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, and Peru are encouraged to apply. 


    *This position is contingent upon contract award.


    The USAID/LAC is seeking support in the follow areas:

    1. Biodiversity 
    2. Combating Wildlife Trafficking 
    3. Adaptation and Resilience
    4. Sustainable Landscapes
    5. Water 


    • At least a master’s degree in economics, international development , statistics, or other related social science discipline or at least 7 years of international development experience
    • Fluent in English and Spanish/Portuguese 
    • Extensive Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    1. Program and activity design and implementation support
    2. Monitoring and evaluation of environment, resilience, and energy programs
    3. Design and development of skills-building workshops and support of workshop delivery
    4. Analysis and communication of environment and energy trends, data, and safeguard issues
