    CAMRIS is seeking Biologists to support the mission of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at The National Institutes of Health (NIH) by conducting and supporting basic, translational and clinical research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases. 


    • Provides technical experience needed to study the principles of plant and animal life.
    • Independently performs complex laboratory experiments and procedures.
    • Performs literature searches in order to develop new research procedures and applications.
    • Develops/ maintains research database.
    • Provides advanced technical support and troubleshooting of sophisticated equipment.
    • Prepares, organizes and maintains various lab samples, supplies and equipment.
    • Analyzes/interprets data and prepares summaries and reports.
    • Learns new laboratory techniques and procedures.
    • Develops/Coordinates training program for staff.


    • Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
    • Two (2) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.
    • Five (5) years of experience in biology or a related field.
    • Demonstrates experience working in a laboratory environment.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of maintaining accurate and detailed records.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of proper laboratory disposal methods and safety procedures
