CAMRIS is seeking Heath Consultants who can work on short-and medium term assignments for the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) health programs and evaluations. Specifically they will work with USAID Bureau for Global Health, regional bureaus, and missions with ready access to high-quality, external technical expertise to design, implement, support, and/or evaluate health programs contributing to the achievement of U.S. Government (USG) objectives. Components include:


             1. Program and project evaluation 
             2. Technical assistance 
             3. Health program design, implementation, and research management
             4. Mission and Operations support 
             5. Logistical support


Assignments are in the following technical areas:

  • HIV and AIDS
  • Family Planning/Reproductive Health
  • Health Systems Strengthening
  • Malaria
  • Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health
  • Nutrition
  • Tuberculosis
  • Neglected Tropical Diseases

We are looking for International and US based experts that have: 

  • Advanced degree (MPH, PhD, or other advanced degree related to health)
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in international development. (At least 3 of the 10 years is in-country developing country experience)
  • At least 7-10 years of experience working in the following technical areas listed above. 
  • Demonstrated experience with USAID regulations and policies. Experience with other USG and international donors preferred
  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and/or evaluating international public health programs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Local experts encouraged to apply
