    CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates for the Laboratory Manager positions. S/he will support the mission of The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and The National Institutes of Health (NIH) by conducting and supporting basic, translational and clinical research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana.

     

    *This is a forecasted position and it is contingent upon contract award. 

    Responsibilities

      For Junior Roles, Duties Include:

    • Prepare and maintain documentation of test results.

    • Plan, lead, and organize all activities related to laboratory function.

    • Oversee the financial management and has accountability for monitoring the operating budget.

    • Assist with the development of laboratory policies and procedures.

    • Assist with hiring of staff.

    • Adjust the workload of staff to meet deadlines.

    • Train new staff.

    • Record and analyzes data.

    • Project personnel and equipment needs.

    • Provide technical expertise.

    • Perform laboratory experiments following research protocols. 

      For Senior Level Roles, Duties Include:

    • Independently plan, lead, and organize all activities related to laboratory function.
    • Oversee the financial management and has accountability for monitoring the operating budget.
    • Assist with the development of laboratory policies and procedures.
    • Assist with hiring of staff.
    • Adjust the workload of staff to meet deadlines.
    • Oversee the training of new staff.
    • Record and analyzes data.
    • Project personnel and equipment needs.
    • Provide technical expertise.
    • Perform laboratory experiments following research protocols.
    • Develop and maintain appropriate control and quality assurance procedures.

     

    Qualifications

       For Junior Level Roles:

       

        Minimum Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Four (4) years of specialized experience plus a High School diploma is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.

        Minimum Experience:

    • Four (4) years of experience in a related field.
    • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.

       For Senior Level Roles:

     

      Minimum Education:

    • Master’s degree in a related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.

      Minimum Experience:

    • 4-10+ years of experience in a related field.
    • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.
