    CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates for the Scientific Program Manager positions. S/he will support the mission of The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and The National Institutes of Health (NIH) by conducting and supporting basic, translational and clinical research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana.

     

    *This is a forecasted position and it is contingent upon contract award. 

    Responsibilities

     

    For Junior Level Roles, Duties Include:

    • Provide scientific experience needed to manage, design and implement policies and procedures related to the organization’s scientific programs.
    • Collect, analyze, and create scientific program information.
    • Assist with analyzing current scientific programs and developing/proposing new initiatives.
    • Coordinate workshops and reports their outcomes.
    • Evaluate current scientific programs and determines if changes need to be made. 

    For Mid-Level Roles, Duties Include:

    • Provide scientific experience needed to manage, design and implement policies and procedures related to the organization’s scientific programs.
    • Collect, analyze, and create scientific program information.
    • Analyze current policies and procedures and suggests/develops improvements.
    • Direct and monitor staff responsible for developing, installing and maintaining scientific programs
    • Collaborate with upper management and prepares reports to keep them updated on new and ongoing programs and activities.
    • Coordinate workshops and report their outcomes.
    • Evaluate current scientific programs and determines if changes need to be made.

     For Senior Level Roles, Duties Include:

    • Provide scientific expertise needed to independently manage, design and implement policies and procedures related to the organization’s scientific programs.
    • Analyze current policies and procedures and suggests/develops improvements.
    • Independently direct and monitor staff responsible for developing, installing and maintaining scientific programs.
    • Collect, analyze and create scientific program information.
    • Analyze current scientific programs and develops/proposes new initiatives.
    • Collaborate with upper management and prepares reports to keep them updated on new and ongoing programs and activities.
    • Coordinate workshops and reports their outcomes.
    • Evaluate current scientific programs and determines if changes need to be made.
    • Assist in preparing/ developing future strategic plan.
    • Prepare and provide educational materials to staff.

    Qualifications

    For Junior Roles: 

     

      Minimum Education:

    •  Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences or other related discipline.

       Minimum Experience:

    • 2-4+ years of experience in biology or other related field.

    • Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of scientific and technical areas.

    • Demonstrates strong managerial experience.

    • Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

     For Mid-Level Roles:

       

        Minimum Education:

    • Master’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or other related discipline. Two (2) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.

       Minimum Experience:

    • 5-19 years of experience in biology and other related field.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of scientific and technical areas.
    • Demonstrates strong managerial experience.
    • Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

     For Senior Roles:

     

      Minimum Education:

    • Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences or other related discipline. Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master’s degree is equivalent to a Ph.D. Five (5) years of specialized experiences plus a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.

      Minimum Experience:

    • 19+ years of experience in biology and other related field.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of scientific and technical areas.
    • Demonstrates strong managerial experience.
    • Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
