    CAMRIS International is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Administrative, Management & Organizational Services (AMOS II) FOR NMRC. This program will provide administrative, managerial, and organizational type services in support of military medical research, including budgets, operational surveys, studies, and analyses on matters related to the NMRC mission at Silver Spring, MD.


    The mission of NMRC is to conduct research, development, tests, and evaluations to enhance the health, safety, and readiness of Navy and Marine Corps personnel in the effective performance of peacetime and contingency missions and to perform other functions as directed by higher authority. The services shall include performing office functions such as setting up and maintaining files, arranging meeting and conferences, receiving or answering mail, answering telephones and greeting individuals. May assist in reviewing drafts and finished documents for appropriate grammatical usage, and answer questions related to office operations. May assist with the gathering, collecting, recording, and verifying data of multiple sources, with the capabilities of utilizing software to compile and generate reports, statistics, timelines, tables, graphs, correspondence, and presentations.



    • Maintains the records management and disposition system for irrigation files.
    • Maintains established files in accordance with office file plans.
    • Files contract documents and correspondence to support such documents, such as RFP's, IFB's, RFQ's, Contracts, Contract Amendments, and Purchase Orders.
    • Prepares transmittal letters, Delegation of Authority letters, and Notice of Proceed letters for signature. Makes arrangements for meetings. Assures a proper meeting room and takes minutes of meetings. Transcribes and distributes minutes.
    • Assists in compiling reports, job orders, vehicle records and property inventory tasks, typing correspondence and other documents utilizing a personal computer.
    • Reviewing and editing the work products of staff members involving communications for grammar, style, and typographical errors, referring questions regarding content to the originator.
    • Input and Out‐process personnel in The Total Workforce Management Services (TWMS) and Defense Medical Human Resource System – Internet (DMHRSi database Awards Program (Military).
    • Assist in the processing, management, and review NMRC Military Awards IAW governing policies.
    • Screens and compiles all award submissions prior to NMRC Awards Board review. Schedules Awards Boards while compiling Awards Board votes and drafting the board minutes for record. Drafts, formats and submits awards (military or civilian), IAW governing policies, to higher echelon activities when required. Enters “approved” award citations into the Navy Awards database the Chair, NMRC Awards Board.
    • Instruction Management: Assist in the management, review and archiving of all Command Instructions IAW governing policies. Ensures all program managers, at a minimum annually, reviews their respective instruction(s) for accuracy. 
    • Correspondence Management: Assist all NMRC and Enterprise staff in the routing of correspondence IAW governing policies. Coordinates with and trains, when necessary, all NMRC Administrative Assistants to ensure all Directorates/Departments within NMRC remain administratively sound.
    • Provide bi‐weekly administrative reports, specific to each program the incumbent assists.
    • Serves as alternate on other office systems. Answer phones and relaying to correct SME, In/out processing of personnel filing of paperwork in personnel files. Place work orders. Enter data into ESAMS (personnel, inspections, etc.).
    • Front desk customer service for walk‐in personnel.
    • Maintain/establish general files in both the Navy and Army recordkeeping systems.
    • Make signs and badge hangers. Scheduling appointments trainings etc. to include room scheduling. Log in/out submissions (SOW's, SOP's, Protocols, amendments etc.); and manage office calendar.


    • Demonstrated written and oral communication skill.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
    • Typing skills with at least 50 WPM.
    • Word processing skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
    • Knowledge of general office machines and telephone system.
    • Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others.
    • Knowledge of DoD or DON Military Manpower Reporting Systems.
    • Must have an Active Secret Clearance
