CAMRIS seeks an Assistant Team Leader/Evaluation Specialist to participate in the upcoming Final Performance Evaluation of the USAID/Jamaica Social enterprise Boost Initiative (SEBI). The purpose of this evaluation is to determine whether the SEBI activities achieved its objectives and gained lessons for implementation of ongoing future programs. The evaluation will identify implementation challenges, corrective actions to project management, and progress towards achieving expected results.


The Assistant Team Leader/Evaluation Specialist will provide evaluation expertise and support to the Team Leader throughout the evaluation. Specifically, s/he will:

  • Participate in evaluation design, instrument development, and pre-testing
  • Conduct key informant interviews and focus group discussions
  • Analyze data and draft sections of the final evaluation report


  • Advanced university degree (Master’s or above) in a social science, international development, or other related field
  • At least 10 years of technical knowledge and experience in a relevant field such as social entrepreneurship, NGO management, local community development, etc.
  • Demonstrated (through authored or co-authored written performance or impact evaluation reports) experience in the past five years undertaking field quantitative and/or qualitative data collection through interviews, surveys, or focus groups for either performance or impact evaluations
  • Demonstrated active evaluation team participation with responsibility for collecting field data on at least three rigorous evaluations in the past five years
  • Fluency in English
