CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates to provide scientific, technical, and other professional support services to assist the National Institutes of Health (NIH-- which is comprised of the Office of the Director and 27 Institutes and Centers) in meeting its operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides scientific experience needed to independently plan, research and evaluate the operation of the organization’s scientific programs.

  • Analyzes existing scientific programs and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Independently develops and implements new scientific programs in order to fulfill organizational goals and objectives.

  • Conducts analyses to determine need/ feasibility of special programs or projects.

  • Independently develops/ implements new organizational goals and objectives.

  • Independently develops strategic plan in order to expand existing scientific programs.

  • Researches, interprets and summarizes background materials from a variety of scientific sources.

  • Coordinates various scientific programs and branch activities.

  • Develops/maintains clinical database.

  • Develops/prepares various scientific reports.

  • Compiles data and creates/prepares graphs, slides and presentations.

  •  

    Collaborates with senior staff and presents all analyses and recommendations.

  • Plans, organizes and participates at a senior level in technical meetings and consultations.

  • Attends meetings and prepares a summary of the meeting to distribute to attendees.

Qualifications

  • 1-4+ years of experience in biology or other related field.

  • Demonstrates expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

     

    Minimum Education:

     

    Ph.D. in Biology, Life Sciences or other related discipline. Three (3) years of specialized experience plus a Master’s degree is equivalent to a Ph.D. Five (5) years of specialized experience plus a Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a Ph.D.
