CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates to provide scientific, technical, and other professional support services to assist the National Institutes of Health (NIH-- which is comprised of the Office of the Director and 27 Institutes and Centers) in meeting its operational objectives.


  • Develops laboratory experiments in support of research programs and projects.

  • Maintains clear and accurate records of laboratory work in defined notebooks and converts those records to electronic records as appropriate.

  • Operates a variety of laboratory equipment.

  • Oversees quality control of the laboratory including upkeep and routine maintenance of equipment.

  • Reviews orders and maintains laboratory supplies, including chemicals, biological materials, liquid nitrogen, etc. 

  • Evaluates and interprets computer analysis of research data and prepares data for publication.

  • Attends and/or presents data at laboratory meetings and one national scientific meeting.

  • Develops strategies with supervisor and other laboratory personnel to plan for subsequent experiments.

  • Trains staff in specialized laboratory techniques, procedures, and laboratory safety.


  • 1-3 years experience in a related field.

  • Computer skills to include MS Office Suite.

  • Demonstrates strong research experience.

  • Demonstrates expertise in basic scientific principles, concepts, and theories.


    Minimum Education:


    Master’s degree in a science related field. Two (2) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.
