CAMRIS is currently seeking a Program Director for the Global Health Technical Professionals (GHTP) program with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The goal of the GHTP program is to establish an award that will develop a new cadre of USAID Global Health Technical Professionals while also providing non-direct hire global health Technical Professionals to the USAID Bureau for Global Health and other Agency offices in Washington and overseas.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for the USAID COR for all matters pertaining to the contract for which authorities have not been delegated by the contractor to the Program Deputy Director or Director of Finance
  • Obtain any contractor organization internal approvals required for decisions taken by the Program Director if the Program Director does not have independent authority
  • Maintain monthly meetings with the COR
  • Set up/establish management, administrative, and financial systems
  • Manage and supervise program staff

Qualifications

  • Must hold a MD or a PhD in global health or a related field
  • At least ten years of experience in personnel and performance management
  • Demonstrated experience in management and supervision of staff
  • Experience in setting up management, administrative, and financial systems
  • Experience with management and administration of donor-supported health programs
  • Well-versed in USAID regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Excellent leadership, management, and written and oral communication skills
  • Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
