Overview

In compliance with NISPOM, the Security Specialist will administer routine aspects of the DOD industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • The administration of the company’s JPAS account, and completion of visit requests, customer forms, and DD254 forms.
  • The candidate will require access to JPAS to initiate new and renewal clearance requests, run various reports as needed, review and transmit security applications, and maintain the personnel security records in JPAS.
  • Additional duties will include communication and coordination with customer program and/or security representatives to process various security related actions, assist employees/candidates/consultants with completion of security paperwork, maintain electronic security files, and manage and maintain all facility clearance documentation to ensure they are current.
  • The candidate must be proactive in monitoring security requirement and procedures and keeping various databases current to ensure compliance with all aspects of the security program according to the NISPOM.
  • Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining and updating various security trainings, conduct security briefings, assist with annual DSS inspections, perform and document self-inspections, as well and provide security awareness briefings.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Must have previous industrial security experience, and knowledge of the NISPOM requirements.
  • Must possess practical knowledge of and experience with JPAS, e-QIP, ISFD and eFCL.
  • Must display a high-level of effort and commitment to performing work; and operate effectively within the organizational structure, and demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.
  • Must possess and maintain an applicable lever of U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
  • Strong attention to detail, the ability to communication professionally and effectively in writing and in-person, excellent PC skills, a solid working knowledge of MS Office software, and a high-level of initiative and organization skills.

  • USAID experience a plus.
