    CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates to provide scientific, technical, and other professional support services to assist the National Institutes of Health (NIH-- which is comprised of the Office of the Director and 27 Institutes and Centers) in meeting its operational objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Contributes to and supports the completion of communication activities outlined within the Program’s strategic and operational plan.
    • Prepares written and electronic information documents for various audiences.
    • Searches media sources for latest information pertaining to the Program.
    • Assists with researching, writing and editing speeches, brochures, reports, fact sheets, talking points, press releases, responses to inquiries and letters to the editors of publications.
    • Monitors press coverage through press calls, news alerts, and other sources.
    • Builds relationships with the press and maintains specialized contacts.

    Qualifications

      

    • 1-4 years experience in a related field.
    • Computer skills to include MS Office Suite.
    • Proficiency in proofreading and editing.
    • Experience in organizing information and gathering information related to the development of reports, briefings, and media outreach.

     

    Minimum Education:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
    • Four (4) years of specialized experience plus a High School diploma is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
