CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates to provide scientific, technical, and other professional support services to assist the National Institutes of Health (NIH-- which is comprised of the Office of the Director and 27 Institutes and Centers) in meeting its operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and coordinates all committee management activities.
  • Interprets legislation, regulations, and policies governing Federally- funded committees.
  • Provides accurate technical advice and develops various written guidance for the operation of all advisory committees to members, experts, consultants, and other staff.
  • Prepares charter proposals, proposed member nomination packages and a variety of required reports, ensuring compliance with required formats, laws and regulations.
  • Review charter proposals and member nomination packages.
  • Provides technical assistance to junior staff members on issues.
  • Prepares documents for meetings.
  • Creates reports concerning advisory committees for Federal staff.

Qualifications

 

1-7 years of experience in researching, analyzing, developing, implementing and managing policies and procedures in support of committee management activities. Demonstrates knowledge of legislation, regulations, and policies governing federally –funded committees.

 

Minimum Education:

 

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Four (4) years of specialized experience plus a High School diploma is equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.
