CAMRIS seeks a Senior Public Affairs Specialist (Key Personnel) for the upcoming Technical and Analytical Support Services (TASS) IDIQ with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The purpose of the contract is to provide high-level advisory and assistance services to support DARPA’s mission: “to create breakthrough technologies for national security by making pivotal investments in new technology-driven ideas for the United States.”

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher degree in journalism, communications, or a related field, or Bachelors or higher degree in a relevant scientific or technical field with substantial subsequent experience in journalism, communications, or other media-relevant field and at least ten (10) years of relevant experience. Excellent interpersonal and public communication skills, including mastery of principles and practices relevant to both written and spoken communications; ability to analyze and synthesize complex technical information and translate that information concisely, accurately and with sufficient clarity to be understood by non-experts; exceptionally strong story-telling skills and ability to develop creative approaches to communicating information, including through public conversations and presentations; thorough understanding of and facility with print, broadcast and digital social mediums; excellent judgment relating to the potential social and political implications of defense-related activities; ability to manage and prioritize multiple work streams and responsibilities, set and meet demanding deadlines and display patience and diplomacy when working under pressure; display a high level of energy, stamina and drive and a passion for continued learning and improvement.

 

DARPA experience preferred.
