CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates to provide scientific, technical, and other professional support services to assist the National Institutes of Health (NIH-- which is comprised of the Office of the Director and 27 Institutes and Centers) in meeting its operational objectives.

Independently performs various complex and non-routine experiments and procedures. Designs and optimizes chemical experiments/procedures. Maintains, troubleshoots, proposes and implements modifications to equipment and instrumentation.
Prepares reagents and oversees necessary laboratory supplies. Schedules, tracks and reports analyses of experiments/ procedures. Analyzes organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties, composition, structure, relationships between compounds, and reactions. Adds heat, light, energy, or a catalyst to show changes in composition. Prepare test solutions and compounds. Documents/ analyzes results and produces detailed summaries and reports.
2-6+ years of experience in chemistry or a related field. Demonstrates experience working in a clinical or research laboratory that carries out chemical transformations. Demonstrates knowledge of principles and operating procedures of general laboratory equipment. Demonstrates general knowledge of computer systems, methods and applications.
Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline. Two (2) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Master’s degree.
