CAMRIS is seeking resumes from qualified individuals to serve as Chief of Party on upcoming business development efforts. Successful candidates must have expertise in one or more of the following areas: nutrition, health, economic growth, elections, democracy and governance, and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL).   • Provide management, strategic direction, and oversight of the project’s technical, administrative, and financial performance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer’s Representative, government official counterparts, implementing partners, and public and private partners.
  • Translate project goals and objectives into implementation strategies and plans.
  • Ensure quality control and the overall responsiveness of technical assistance provided under the contract, including making necessary adjustments to operations to fit the requirements of the government.
  • Ensure all deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Manage and supervise the work of project personnel and subcontractors.


  • Must have at five to seven years of experience successfully managing international development programs (implementation, logistics, budget, staffing) funded by USG, a donor agency, or NGO.  A minimum of three years of experience must consist of supervisory experience. 
  • Master’s degree in public policy, public administration, international affairs/development, economics, global health, or related field required.
  • Must have overseas field experience working in one or more developing countries.
  • Demonstrated skills in effectively working with a variety of stakeholders, including private funders, U.S. government agencies, host governments, donors, local organizations and partners.
  • A proven record of integrity and excellent management, leadership, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including being an articulate speaker and sympathetic listener. 
  • Proven ability to facilitate private/public partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble, quickly and effectively, and manage a highlyskilled, interdisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and lead a broad range of governmental and nongovernmental actors and institutions across sectors.
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in another language is preferred. 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
