CAMRIS is currently seeking an Operations Management Specialist for the upcoming Support That Augments Rapid Transitions (START) IQC with USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives. The purpose of the contract is to provide fast, flexible programming and logistical support targeted at key political transition and stabilization needs.



  • Manage the operational logistics of quickly setting up a field-based program, including establishing field offices, registering field operations, securing local transportation, obtaining needed housing, procuring security services, and hiring local staff. 
  • Ensure that all operational arrangements meet USG regulations and standards. 
  • Informs senior management of significant problems and takes prompt corrective action where necessary, or suggests alternative courses of action that may be taken.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with project stakeholders.


  • Advanced degree in international development, international affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience in operations management in developing countries.
  • Knowledge of USAID regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Experience with a US foreign affairs agency, an international assistance organization, or a non-governmental organization.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong cross cultural and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications.
  • Fluency in English is required. Fluency in a second language is preferred.
