CAMRIS is currently seeking a Communications Specialist to provide support to USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI). The objective of the upcoming indefinite quantity contract (IQC) is to provide OTI with the means to support U.S. foreign policy objectives by helping local partners advance peace and democracy in priority countries in transition.


S/he manages the office equipment, telephones, computers, and networking infrastructure of the office, including initial setup and ongoing maintenance of office equipment, troubleshooting, and planning for future capacity and office relocations. Depending on the number of offices, there will be a need for communications links between field offices and the central office. S/he manages and administers these networks and maintains data availability and integrity of all information systems, through backups and information security planning. S/he provides writing and editing support as needed.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience with USAID is highly desired.
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and team-playing skills.
  • Strong cross-cultural and interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
